Practical tips

— Book early: accommodation around the lake fills up fast during major events.
— Parking: free public car park 5 minutes' walk from the apartment. In Annecy, parking is harder on busy days.
— Bus: stop at Duingt church. Cars Région Haute-Savoie line Y51 (Annecy – Albertville via the west shore), about 30 minutes to Annecy bus station — timetables at laregionvoustransporte.fr. The Sibra network (Grand Annecy) also runs to Annecy — timetables at sibra.fr.
— From Geneva: no direct bus to Duingt; change at Annecy bus station.
— Boat: the Compagnie des Bateaux du Lac d'Annecy links Doussard harbour with Annecy (about 1 hour crossing), usually from May to mid-September. Duingt is also a boat stop, 120 m from the apartment. Check the season's timetable with the Sources du Lac d'Annecy tourist office.
— Bike: cycle path to Annecy 180 m from the apartment.
— Busy periods: allow extra time for journeys around the main event days.
